Daniel P. Ufford is an experienced attorney and mediator who is motivated to bring true service to the legal profession. He strives to provide access to the legal system for all clients that seek his services.

Mr. Ufford is a General Practitioner who works primarily out of Clarksville, but practices across Middle Tennessee. Mr. Ufford can assist you with any area of law, and focuses his practice mainly on Family Law, Estate Planning, Business Planning, and Criminal Law.

My Story

Daniel P. Ufford was raised in a family of entrepreneurs. He was brought up with first-hand knowledge of a business growing from family-owned to corporate status. Those roots engrained a drive for success, and a dedication to serving clientele. He grew from those roots into his professional career.

Before opening Ufford Law & Mediation Offices, Mr. Ufford worked at the Public Defender Office for the 19th Judicial District of Tennessee. This required handling a complex, and remarkably large caseload, and staying current on legal issues. He consistently interacted with clients, negotiated with district attorneys, and conducted field research in preparation for trial.

Academic Background

For undergraduate work, Mr. Ufford attended Jacksonville State University receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with honors. He included a double minor in Business Administration, and in Business and Technical Writing. This degree required the study of both the legal and business environments. Mr. Ufford was also the President of the Pre-Law Society, providing professional and organizational experience.

He graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School with a concentration in Litigation. While there, he served on the Board of Editors for the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law. That position required leadership skills, and also exposure to various legal topics while reading, voting, and editing articles for publication. Mr. Ufford also participated in both Moot Court and Mock Trial, requiring skills in litigation, composing briefs, and posing arguments.

While practicing law, Mr. Ufford has continued to build his knowledge and skill. He is a 2014 graduate of the TACDL Trial College. He has also trained and attended seminars related to Alternative Dispute Resolution, including becoming a Rule 31 Mediator. Mr. Ufford continues to learn and also train other attorneys and mediators through Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presentations.
